The ICOM Canada Board invites submissions for ICOM Canada’s new e-newsletter. The e-newsletter, distributed three times each year, features news items and short highlight articles, longer feature articles, and photographs or other media relating to ICOM Canada, ICOM’s international committees, and/or other related ICOM initiatives.
Long-form articles for this issue will explore the theme of Cultural Diplomacy: global engagement activities that create mutual understanding and trust between nations, organizations and peoples through the work of museums.
Submissions may explore how an activity advances global museology, shares and promotes Canadian museology, interfaces between the global and Canadian museum communities, and other interpretations of the theme.
Please review the ICOM Canada E-Newsletter Guidelines for Contributors to find word counts and formatting instructions. Submissions will be accepted in French or English and will be translated accordingly.
Submissions should be sent as a Microsoft Word document to icomcanada@gmail.com. Images should be .jpg or .png formats.
The submission deadline for this e-newsletter issue is August 15, 2019.
The expected publication date for this e-newsletter is September 1, 2019.
